Poetry is the revelation of a feeling that the poet believes to be interior and personal which the reader recognizes as his own.  ~Salvatore Quasimodo

Poetry is an art form of our collective humanity that is meant to be for all people...not just some people.

This program will make time to share poems written by others that speak to us and perhaps may even serve to transform us and our world.

In acknowledgement of Earth Day, all are invited to bring earth-inspired poems to share and offer stories about how they resonate with you and your life.

Attendees are welcome to come simply to sit and listen , contribute reflections to poems that are shared and/or contribute a poem and share the reason why your poem of choice resonates or speaks to you.

This is a new, experimental program intended to explore how poems can serve to inspire us to question, seek meaning, uplift, empower and be in awe of our world and one another.  Participants are invited to bring a poem and also offer an introduction  expressing why the poem is meaningful. Just listening is okay too! Plan to learn new poems and learn from one another's life stories and wisdom too!

Bring your mug from home to have tea while we sit pondering and engage in conversation about life and poetry!

Note: This gathering is about appreciating and pondering the poetry of others. It's not meant to be a poetry writing class.
