Month Calendar

Join other writers for a writing group for screenwriters, playwrights, or anyone writing a script - all levels welcome! The group will meet the first Thursday of each month in a study room to discuss script ideas and scripts in progress.

This is a casual gathering of individuals interested in having a civil discussion about the week's events.

Cheryl Perreault offers an opportunity each month to come together with others interested in exploring how poems can provide wisdom for daily life. 

Join some of our canine crew for cuddles and comfort. We’ll also have some other calming activities in our cozy sunroom corner. Pop by and see which pup is visiting the Library this month! They are great listeners - snuggle up or read to them.

In Part 2: Peril in the Gulf of Maine (53 minutes), dive into Cashes Ledge with scientists as they race to discover if this remote and relatively pristine part of the Gulf of Maine is vulnerable to rapid warming.

Join us for Chess Club! 

Chess Club will meet in the upper level study rooms and fireside tables - not the Wheeler room.

Parliamo Italiano!  Join our group in the Wheeler Room for casual conversation in Italian. Suitable for those with intermediate to advanced conversational skills in the Italian language. 

This group meets the second and fourth Thursday of every month in the York Public Library's Wheeler Room. This is open to any and all handcrafters! Bring your own supplies and make friends!

Join Barb at York Land Trust headquarters for stories, songs and an activity. This is an OFF-SITE program. Plan ahead! Wear your walking boots if you want to also enjoy a walk on the trails after the program.
