The earth's climate is dynamic - always shifting between warm and cold spells that limit the types of lifeforms that can exist in different parts of the globe. What's rare about our world today is that humans are experiencing noticeable climate change within one lifetime. Local naturalist and guide Dan Gardoqui of Lead with Nature will share both personal observations of living close to the land for three decades as well as suggestions for how to recreate more sustainably and responsibly in our region and beyond.

Dan Gardoqui has decades of focused naturalist and wildlife tracking studies, a Master’s degree in Natural Resources, and years of professional development in nature, leadership, and education. His areas of expertise include hunting, foraging, wildlife tracking, bird expertise, and consulting and mentoring with a focus on the nature connection. Dan lives in York with his family.

This event is part of York Public Library’s 2024 climate programming series, “Living in a Climate Changed World.” For more information, please visit yorkpubliclibrary.org/climate.
