Program Description

Event Details

Celebrate National Poetry Month with poet Cheryl Perreault in a welcoming, creative workshop for all experience levels. Cheryl has shared poetry in libraries, schools, cafes, healing centers, and community events, and believes everyone has an inner poet waiting to be heard.

In this relaxed group setting, participants will explore how poetry can help us express feelings, reflect on life, and connect with others. Through fun prompts and simple exercises, you’ll create quick poems, “poem embryos,” and even a collaborative group poem.

We’ll also talk about the poetry-writing process, how to build a regular creative practice, and ways to honor and share your poems with others.

No experience necessary—just curiosity and a willingness to explore.

Bring: a notebook, a pen, and a mug for tea while you write.

Registration is recommended for planning purposes.
