This Alzheimer's Educational Series is co-sponsored by York Public Library and the Alzheimer's Association: Maine Chapter. The series includes four sessions, all to be held at York Public Library.

Oct. 8, 4:45 PM - Building Foundations of Caregiving/Supporting Independence

Oct. 22, 4:45 PM - Communicating Effectively/Responding to Dementia Related Behaviors

Nov. 5, 4:45 PM - Managing Money/Exploring Care & Support Options

 

This second session in the series, Building Foundations of Caregiving/Supporting Independence, explores the role of caregiver and changes they may experience, building a support team and managing caregiver stress. Also included is a focus on helping the person living with dementia take part in daily activities, providing the right amount of support and balancing safety and independence while managing expectations.
