Week Calendar

In honor of National Library Week, York Public Library is pleased to offer a behind-the-scenes tour of the Portsmouth Athenaeum with Keeper and Executive Director, Tom Hardiman.

Join us for stories, movement and songs. After the stories, we will make a craft to take home. Suggested for ages 3 - 5, with a caregiver. This is a drop-in program.

Join Barb at York Land Trust headquarters for stories, songs and an activity. This is an OFF-SITE program. Plan ahead! Wear your walking boots, and enjoy a walk on the trails after the program.

Climb, play, balance and enjoy positive playtime at this drop-in program. This program is suggested for 6 months - 2 years and their caregiver. 

Join Ms. Katie for rhymes, songs and a story, followed by social playtime. We'll work on developing social, literacy and motor skills in this program series designed for babies and toddlers (birth - 2), with their caregivers.

Join some of our canine crew for cuddles and comfort. We’ll also have some other calming activities in our cozy sunroom corner. Pop by and see which pup is visiting the Library this month! They are great listeners - snuggle up or read to them.

Rhymes in your mind? You’ve got poet-ential! Stop by the Teen Space and create your own poems using our magnetic poetry board or blackout poems.

Calling all middle schoolers! Do YOU have an interest in wildlife, trailblazing, nature meditation or gardening? Do you know how to handle frogs safely?
