York Connects - Pause & Plan - Taking the Sensible Approach to Wireless Technology in York

To increase public awareness of wireless technology and the work of the neighborhood group that is responding to the proposal to put wireless facilities on the water tower in York Heights, and more generally to consider the exigencies that come with the evolving technology. We petitioned to the local May 2022 ballot to pause and plan for the expansion of these facilities in York. In May, citizens will be asked to vote on our proposal for 1) a moratorium for the siting of these new telecommunication facilities and 2) the creation of a committee to revise our present ordinance to better protect residential areas from the property devaluing aspects of this technology.
