This Zoom program is brought to you by MECollab, a sharing partnership between libraries throughout the state of Maine.

 

Join field epidemiologist Stacie Poulin to learn more about tick borne illness and safety from the Maine CDC. Topics will include a general overview of ticks, tick density and illness throughout Maine, populations at risk, public health implications, and prevention of tick bites and disease. Stacie Poulin has worked for the Maine CDC for four years, two years in her current position as a Field Epidemiologist. she works in the Infectious Disease Epidemiology Program at Maine CDC which involves investigation and surveillance of infectious disease throughout the State, including tick borne illnesses. Stacie has her Master’s degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition from the University of Maine. She will be continuing her education this Fall by pursuing her Doctor of Public Health degree at Claremont Graduate University.
