Event Details
Mental Health First Aid is a course that teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. This training provides the skills you need to reach out and provide initial help and support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem or experiencing a crisis. This training will be offered in two parts: Thursday, May 1 from 12:00 - 4:00 PM and Friday, May 2 from 12:00 - 4:00 PM. This program is made possible with grant funding through Cornerstone VNA.

Embracing Wellness is a collaborative program series brought to you by York Public Library, the York, Maine Rotary Club, and many community partners in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month (May 2025). Participating organizations include York Hospital's Choose to Be Healthy and Youth Resiliency Coalitions; Cornerstone Visiting Nurse Association; National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI); York Parks and Recreation; York Center for Active Living; Sweetser; York School Department; York Community Service Association (YCSA), and the Center for Grieving Children.
