Event Details

Martha Fenn King returns to York Public Library after three fabulous presentations in August, November and January. Here is Martha's invitation to the next workshop in our series Martha's Garden Through the Year: SPRING.

"It is time to start your seeds! Let's talk about what you might plant at this time, how to sow the seeds, how to keep them healthy and when to transplant into the garden. Demonstrations and hands on seed sowing for participants. Bring your questions!"

Martha will also be reading passages from her book A Maine Garden Almanac. Books will be available for purchase.

Martha is a steadfast gardener whose stunning photos and sage advice once informed readers through her regular gardening column, “Martha's Garden.” Gathering a lifetime of gardening knowledge and lore, Martha’s A Maine Garden Almanac presents a collection of seasonal information, heartwarming insight, poetry, and beautiful imagery. Whether you have a small or large garden, this book will support you through the tougher growing seasons in your garden and life.

Martha continues to garden, write, eat and have some fun with family and friends in York, Maine.
