Purpose of Meeting

Maine DMR leases Maine waters to individuals in aquaculture who grow shellfish and seaweed. Part of the application process is a public hearing where both the applicant and members of the public are allowed to give testimony for the Department to consider in making their decision. DMR attempts to hold the hearing within the town where the lease proposal is located.
