Event Details
The Korean Spirit and Culture Promotion Project (KSCPP) will teach participants step by step how to make a traditional lotus flower lantern using colored paper and a pre-made wireframe via live stream. At the same time, the participants will learn about Korea’s unique history and culture. A short documentary film is played toward the end of the class.
This will be a virtual Zoom class. Participants will gather at the library to view the presentation together and create their lanterns. Twenty Korean Lotus Lantern kits have been ordered.
We are limited to 20 individuals for this opportunity, so only register if you know you are available on this date. We will keep a waitlist in case anyone has to cancel their registration.
Visit the KSCPP Facebook page to learn more about this program! Once you get to their Facebook page, scroll down to see various groups creating their Korean Lotus Lantern. NOTE: You do not need to have a Facebook account to view their page. Just click on the big X in the upper right corner.
