This program is co-sponsored by York Community Service Association, Town of York, StrenthenMaine (DHHS) and York Public Library. The same program will be offered both January 13 at 10:00 AM and January 29 at 1:00 PM. Choose which one you would like to attend!

Join Age-Friendly York, in collaboration with the York Community Service Association and Town of York Emergency Manager Nicole Pestana, for an informative presentation on emergency preparedness designed specifically for the older adults in our community.

This session will cover essential topics , including how to prepare for disasters and emergency situations. Attendees will learn how to stay informed, when and how to seek shelter, and what items to include in an emergency plan and evacuation kit. Materials to help you get started will be provided at the event.

Additionally, representatives from StrengthenMaine (DHHS) will be present to offer free resources on stress management and resiliency , aimed at promoting the health and well-being of all residents.

Snacks and refreshments will be available for everyone attending. We encourage older adults in our community to participate in this free and valuable class to enhance their preparedness for emergencies.
